50 Cent goes too far in his latest IG post “paying his respects” to deceased actor Michael K Williams.
50 Cent’s multimedia empire is rivaled by few. He’s been able to turn his hit TV show Power into an expanded universe while continuing to dominate social media as the ultimate troll. One of the biggest reasons for 50 Cent’s success could be because he never misses an opportunity to plug his many products.
While the rest of the internet used images and videos of Michael K Williams to highlight his career and life, 50 Cent decided to highlight his drug addiction and overdoes as a way to promote his show Raising Kanan.
“Damn if you didn’t see Raising Kanan check it out that fentanyl is no joke, killing the clientele. RIP michael k. williams.” 50 Cent said in the now deleted post.
The image was a screen shot of an article detailing the scene at Williams Brooklyn loft where he was discovered dead. He was found face down in his living room. Williams has spoken publicly about his struggles with addiction over the years.
After receiving initial backlash, 50 Cent double-down and posted pic of the backlash to promote his show again.
Michael K Williams was a 5 time Emmy nominated actor with iconic roles in The Wire and Lovecraft Country. Drug paraphernalia was found in his home, leading authorities to believe he may have overdosed on heroin or fentanyl. He was only 54 years old.
