MTV VJ Ananda Lewis is taking to social media today to call out outlets that reported she only had days to live. The cancer survivor has been open about her health struggles over the years but had to call out outlets for falsely reporting on her current status after her son showed her some concerning headlines.
Reporting live from her bed, Lewis seemed in good spirits and looked very healthy despite being a little bit annoyed. In one headline, they reported that she was in her final days while another showed a side-by-side of her and a woman in a hospital bed hooked up to tubes. “Harpo, who dis woman?” she asked while pointing at the picture, revealing it is not her in the scary picture.
“I am alive and well,” she confirms. Lewis says she is back in treatment which is a bit painful but no more than usual. “I believe words have power, so here’s a suggestion for people who feel like they have to use false clickbait for views, get this book ‘The Game of Life and How to Play It,'” she says while holding up the book. “It’ll teach you how to manifest what you want in life, so you don’t have to scoop that low.”
Over in her comments, fans showed her love and wished her a speedy recovery. “Death and life is in the power of the tongue. Glad you’re a speaking positivity. ❤️,” said one person. “So great to hear @imanandalewis! You are healthy and will live a longer prosperous life!!! 🙏🏾❤️,” said another person.
