R&B singer Jaheim has appeared to be unraveling a bit over the years. I addition to his sometimes unrecognizable appearance, the “Put That Woman First” hitmaker has also fallen on the wrong side of public opinion and, most recently, the law.
Fans will remember Jaheim threw his support behind former President Donald Trump in 2020, claiming he “saved a lot of people.” His confusing rant on Instagram included the statement, “We the people have turned our backs on this great man who been working effortlessly to restore the balance for the Republic and didn’t even take a paycheck.”
Well, if that did not lose him enough support already from democrats and people of color, he will now have the full wrath of animal lovers coming down on him.
Following Hurricane Ida terrorizing the east coast, it was discovered that Jahiem has been housing several dogs in his home. Police found six dogs in his driveway in crates filled with water and feces. One dog was in such bad condition it had to be euthanized after being found unresponsive. In total, authorities found 15 dogs in his New Jersey home.
The animals were all found in poor condition with no access to food or water.
Jahiem is officially being charged with third-degree animal cruelty and failure to provide necessary care to an animal, a disorderly person’s offense.
