Watch: Rapper Rick Ross Pounce On A Set Of Expensive ‘Milk Crates’ In Hilarious Crate Challenge

Rick Ross wants to show everybody just who “The Biggest Boss” really is with his ‘expensive’ crate challenge. The latest trend to hit and sweep the internet has been the Crate Challenge, and Rick Ross is not one to be left out. The rapper took to social media recently, participating in the internet challenge.

But, the difference with Rick Ross’s crate challenge entry? He threw a little expensive sauce on his.

For the last few weeks, the crate challenge has held a grip on the internet. Milk crates are used and stacked on top of one another to create a stair-like pyramid. Participants are encouraged to climb up on the often unstable crates (hence, the challenge) in the hopes that they won’t fall.

The problem is, most videos show unsuccessful attempts. For instance, this video clip shows a gender reveal that utilizes the internet challenge. A man attempts to ascend the crates while holding the item that will reveal the gender. However, his trip sends him in a painful descent. But the crowd is distracted by the news that the couple is having a boy.

In a more successful attempt that’s since gone viral, a Black woman literally “raised the stakes” with her entry. She’s seen in the clip wearing an expensive pair of see-through heels as she makes her commendable ascent and continues to completion.

If you peruse the internet, you can view a plenitude of crate challenge entries. As visuals of the dangerous trend continue to circulate, doctors are warning people not to participate any longer.

“This challenge doesn’t make any sense safety-wise,” said Dr. Rajwinder Deu, a professor at Johns Hopkins University, to USA Today. Deu points to the height of the crates’ setup and states that serious full-body injuries are almost imminent.

“Everything depends on your fall, what angle you fall and what part of your body hits the ground first,” said Dr. Deu.  The crate challenge has gotten so much recognition that even Conan O’Brien tweeted that he would participate in the internet challenge. However, he jokingly stated that he’s “Waiting for FDA approval” before doing so.

The FDA in turn responded to O’Brien, discouraging his or anyone’s attempt. “Although we regulate milk, we can’t recommend you try that. Perhaps enjoy a nice glass of 2% and return all those crates to the grocery store?” wrote the FDA.

Not only has the Food and Drug administration issued their disapproval, but so has TikTok. In a statement given to FastCompany, the social media app shared that the challenge goes against their guidelines and that they have been removing instances of the hashtag.

“TikTok prohibits content that promotes or glorifies dangerous acts, and we remove videos and redirect searches to our Community Guidelines to discourage such content,” the statement reads. “We encourage everyone to exercise caution in their behavior whether online or off.”

The warnings issued by various doctors and TikTok themselves have not stopped social media users from actively participating. Included in that number have been a number of rappers as well.

“Thotiana” rapper Blueface can be seen doing one where he successfully completes the crate challenge, narrowly missing an injury in the end.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old Def Jam recording artist YK Osiris tried his hand while at controversial rapper Boosie’s house. However, like The Shade Room captioned their post, he “literally” went down.

Seemingly unable to be upstaged, rapper Rick Ross added himself to the crate challenge. Except, his version could only literally be dubbed the “Rick Ross Crate Challenge.” The Florida rapper’s entry was slightly different than the others in that Rick Ross instead substituted the cheap crates for more expensive boxes of Luc Belaire champagne. The significance? Ross is an ambassador for the company.

Talk about a flex.

It’s the biggest boss in the game, Ricky Rozay. I been called out,” said the rapper in the video clip. Rick Ross then states that the challenge is no longer dubbed the crate challenge, but instead, “This the Luc Belaire case challenge using his version of more expensive crates. Let’s go,” he said. Rozay then proceeds to climb the boxes while in the gym.
